The third Queensland Community Renewables Forum was held on Tuesday 1 April at the Roma Bungil Cultural Centre, drawing more than 100 farmers, landholders, business owners, community members, industry leaders and government representatives from across the Maranoa region.
Shared community benefits and the relationship between host landholders and neighbouring properties emerged as major themes throughout the day. Attendees asked informed questions about topics such as decommissioning of wind turbines, potential impacts on surrounding properties, and how large-scale projects can deliver long-term value for the community.
