More than 140 farmers, landholders and residents attended the first Queensland Community Renewables Forum in Miles on 10 July 2024.
The first in a series of regional forums brought senior government officials and representatives from the renewable energy and agriculture sectors to the Western Downs for two days of conversation about the challenges and opportunities of large-scale renewable energy development in the region.
Community members also visited Dulacca Wind Farm, owned by Octopus Investments Australia, to get a first-hand glimpse of infrastructure and understand more about the site.
